The much-awaited Xiaomi Mi A2 will be launching on August 8 in India. This was confirmed by Xiaomi India’s official twitter handle. Though there are still doubts about the launch of the cheaper Mi A2 Lite variant in India. The Mi A2 Lite is being sold as Redmi 6 Pro in China market and there is every possibility India will also get the MIUI version.

There is no need for Indian Xiaomi fans to be disappointed as they will get something to cheer about. Reports suggest Mi A2 will be launched with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4 in India.
The Quick Charge feature was not disclosed during the recent launch event in Spain. Apart from India no other markets will get bundled fast charging wall adapter with the phone. They will have to buy third part fast chargers to take advantage of this feature.
We are not sure what will the impact of this have on the pricing of the phone in India. Though it is learned that Xiaomi will be launching the Mi A2 at a comparatively low price. Prices disclosed at the Spain launch event were around 249 Euros which comes to around Rs 20000/-
Xiaomi has made it clear it will not be introducing the 4Gb+32Gb model here in India. Instead, 4GB+64GB will be its base model in India.
The Mi A2 comes with a 5.99-inch IPS LCD panel with 18:9 aspect ratio with FullHD+ resolution, covered with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 660 and is coupled with Adreno 512 GPU. The rear camera comes with a dual lens setup with one 20MP sensor and other with a 12MP sensor aperture is large at f/1.75. A front camera is a 20MP unit with large pixel size and aperture of f/2.2.
