Xiaomi camera phone is getting better as far as the imaging performance is concerned over a year or so. With a vision to make the Xiaomi camera phone even better the company has set a few benchmarks. Like last year the company will continue its research and development to introduce new features and improve the overall post-processing of pictures.
Lei Jun CEO, Xiaomi posted on Weibo on Monday saying he expects the quality of the pictures to improve as the camera department has been rapidly advancing with testing new features and improving the existing features.

Lei Jun in the post further suggest that the breakthrough Xiaomi has been able to achieve as far as the camera front is concerned. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 gained 103 points by DxOMark for its camera performance. This score is higher than most of the other smartphones like iPhone XR, Pixel 3, Galaxy S9 Plus and OnePlus 6T. The other features like the night mode and slow-motion video recording at 960 fps also improved the overall photography experience while using the Mix 3
The effect of this was the improved quality feature was passed on to its other smartphone like the Mi 8 and Mi Mix 2S. Lei further assured the company’s commitment towards providing a great photography experience even on its mid-range smartphones.
After branching out with Redmi, its sub-brand last month, Xiaomi will focus on mid-range smartphones and Note 7. Note 7 happens to be the first phone under the Redmi by Xiaomi brand. The highlighting factor of Note 7 is its 48 MP rear camera which makes it the most affordable phone with such a high resolution for its camera.
The other Xiaomi Camera Phone to watch out for this year by Xiaomi is the Mi 9. It is expected to feature a couple of new camera features in addition to post-processing improvements.
