Reliance Jio rolled out its latest Jio GigaFiber high-speed broadband services all over India on 15th August. The company has announced it will offer its services on the basis of the interest from the consumers. Though the tariff plans are not yet announced publicly, which is also making a few potential users worry about the pricing. News reports suggest Reliance Jio will be rolling out a preview offer for all users enrolling under the Reliance Jio GigaFiber service, the preview offer will provide three months complete free subscription from the date of subscribing to the service. The users will still have to pay for the upfront amount which is completely refundable on a later date
What comes with the Jio GigaFiber Preview Offer?
As we already mentioned all Jio GigaFiber subscribers will get three months of free access from the date of the subscription. During this preview period, subscribers can download and upload data at speeds up to 100 Mbps along with a monthly FUP of 100 GB which is on a lower side.
You can choose to go for additional data in the form of ‘Data Top-ups’. After the consumption of the 100GB FUP data users can go for additional data using the data top-ups. The good thing about these Data Top-ups is they will be free of cost. Each Data Top-Up will provide subscribers with 40 GB additional data. We are not sure how many free Data Top-ups each subscriber will be allowed, Incase these Data Top-Ups are unlimited then the subscribers are sure to benefit from it.
There have been earlier reports suggesting users can consume up to 1.1 TB of monthly data under the JioGigaFiber Preview Offer, of which 100GB will be given up front, and the rest will be available via Data Top-Ups.
Jio ONT Device Will Cost You Rs 4,500
Reliance Jio will be collecting an initial deposit of Rs 4500 from every subscriber, towards obtaining the ONT device. The ONT device acts as a gateway to the GigaHub Home. The subscribers will benefit from this preview offer as they will have access to other services like Jio GigaTV, smart home solutions and more. The users can also enjoy premium access to Jio’s apps under the JioGigaFiber Preview Offer.
Though the Rs 4500 is refundable if the subscribers choose to discontinue Jio GigaFiber services in the future. This also comes with a condition where the ONT device needs to be the one installed originally and has to be in perfect working condition.
The Jio GigaFiber Broadband Plans are yet to be announced, as a result of this, all users will get a preview offer before the tariff plans are announced. Reliance aims to capture 50 Million Broadband users and be a top broadband service provider in India. At present BSNL is the leading broadband operator in the country with over 10 million subscribers. Achieving the target of 50 million users is not going to be easy and Jio is aiming to achieve this with its preview offer.
