A new FRC plan of Rs 298 is introduced by BSNL for its new subscribers. The plan comes with unlimited voice calls to local/STD/Onnet/Offnet. Though BSNL has not mentioned the FUP limit for the voice calls.
The subscribers under this plan will also be able to avail the benefits of 1GB data per day after which they will continue browsing at speeds slower speeds around 80Kbps. The validity of this plan remains for 56 days from the date of recharge.
This is a promotional plan introduced by BSNL and will only be available for a limited period of 180 days ie from 07/08/2017 to 04/11/2017.
The plan comes with a few downside but it is the cheapest amongst the many private telcos FRC plans. The downside to this plan is that it is valid only for 56 days which seems to be a slight letdown. Apart from this, the plan is applicable on a pan-India basis.
Other telcos like Reliance Jio is presently offering a Rs 399 plan to its existing and new users. Though the new customers have to pay Rs 99 more for the JioPrime Membership which makes this plan cost Rs 498 for a new user. The Jio rs 399 plan offers 1GB data per day and unlimited voice calls to any network for 84 days.
Another telco Airtel is running a similar Rs 399 plan for its new customers where it offers 1GB data and unlimited voice calls. It has a FUP of 300 mins per day and 1200 mins per week. The validity of the plan remains for 84 days.
Other Telco operators like Vodafone, Aircel, and Idea Cellular also has similar plans but are priced higher than BSNL plans. Vodafone has Rs 445 plan with 1GB data per day and Aircel has a Rs 449 plan with 2 GB data per day. Both come with unlimited voice calls to any network for 84 days.
The plan offered by BSNL is a good deal for new subscribers. Please feel free to mention your views in the comments below.
