Samsung rarely brings out a major Android update for its Galaxy Note ahead of the Galaxy S in the same year. Generally, it is the Galaxy Note that gets the updates a few days or week later than the Galaxy S, but this going to change in 2019. Samsung in a roadmap published for the Android Pie for various countries this week mentions that the Galaxy Note 8 Android Pie will come in February whereas the Galaxy S8 users will have to wait until March for their updates.
This might not be the case for all markets as the roadmaps may tend to differ from country to country. There might be some difference in the dates according to various markets for the same device.
This is will make a huge difference to the Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy Note 8 users. Earlier Pie and One UI were expected to arrive in February for Galaxy Note 9 and March for the Galaxy Note 8, now they will receive it in January and February respectively. Which means they will get an update prior to the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.
You can view the Samsung Android Pie roadmap on the Samsung Members app of your Galaxy Smartphone. Since it’s being updated not all users will get to view it, but it will get updated gradually and within the next few days everyone should be able to see it. There might be a few delays in the dates published and the actual release and this has already been mentioned Samsung in the roadmap
