All speculations come to an end as today Micromax announced its latest smartphone offering named Micromax Canvas Infinity. The Micromax Canvas Infinity is all set for its launch by the end of August 2017 in India.
The Micromax Canvas Infinity will come loaded with a 5.7-inch display and it will feature an aspect ratio of 18:9. Though there have been no disclosures made by the company about the phone specs in details, the Micromax Canvas Infinity will be the first affordable smartphone that will provide such kind of aspect ratio.
The leaked images show the similarity of the front of the smartphone with that of Samsung Galaxy S8. When we compare the two smartphones in the picture we can see the phone on the left comes with some minimum side bezels as well as the upper and lower bezel will be less compared to the Samsung Galaxy S8 on the right. The Samsung Galaxy S8 also looks taller compared to the Micromax Canvas Infinity. Apart from all this, we can also notice volume controls and power on/off button, while at the base, there is a micro USB port along with a microphone.
Earlier it was LG was the first brand to come up with the FullVision concept or the 18:9 aspect ratio we talk about and can experience it with LG’s G6 smartphone. Micromax will be the first Indian smartphone manufacturer to offer the 18:9 aspect ratio. Later Samsung followed the footsteps of LG and came up with the similar aspect ratio with its Infinity display with Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.
The Micromax Canvas Infinity will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, however, the processor series is not known at the moment. We can expect some good camera sensors installed on the phone.
Reports on the web suggest – “Micromax will introduce a new lineup of a premium smartphone called as Infinity series by August end. It will have 5.7-inch curved display and sport 9:18 aspect ratio and will be an affordable alternative to Samsung Galaxy S8.”
