LG has in showcased two of its latest mid-range smartphone the G7 One and G7 Fit at IFA 2018, Berlin. The smartphones look similar to the earlier flagship phone the G7 ThinQ but are much more affordable which makes them more accessible to own them.
The G7 One looks amazing with a glass front and back, rigged in polished metal and rated IP68 for water and dust resistance. The phone comes with a 6.1-in LCD screen along with a resolution of 3,120 x 1,440, a brightness of 1,000 nits and a notch in the top. The notch might prove to be a problem but again it is upon you to decide. The G7 One is powered by Snapdragon 835 processor, with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage space. You can expand it externally up to 2 TB via a MicroSD card. The phone comes with a pretty decent 3,000-mAh battery which seems to be a standard for most of the phones at the moment. It sports a 16-MP camera in the back and an 8-MP front-facing one.
The G7 One is the first Android One phone that comes with a stripped down version of the Android operating system. The smartphone comes with an AI button on the side which brings up the Google Assistant and you can use the Google lens to bring up details about objects, landmarks, and text in photos.Whereas the G7 Fit comes with an older Snapdragon 821 processor, along with 4 GB of RAM and either 32 GB or 64 GB of internal storage. Sports a front camera similar to the G7 One, its rear camera has a smaller field of view and a larger aperture of F/2.2, compared to the G7 One’s F/1.6 and is powered by a 3,000-mAh battery.
The G7 Fit comes with the regular Android 8.1 Oreo OS. Comes with similar support for Google Assistant and Lens functions. The G7 Fit comes with LG’s own AI CAM, which allows you to choose from eight preset camera modes, like a person, food, pet, landscape, city, flower, sunrise, and sunset, depending on what you are shooting. Though the G7 One users will have to wait as this feature will be added later in the future software updates.
Both the phones come with a good sound quality as they have 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DACs and DTS: X 3D Surround Sound that can blast sound louder by using the inner space of the device as a resonance chamber. If you happen to place the phone on flat surfaces it will deliver you a deeper bass making your music experience enjoyable.
The release dates of both G7 One and G7 Fit and their prices are undisclosed.
