As a matter of fact, India ranks behind our neighbours Pakistan and Sri Lanka who rank 110 and 82 respectively. Whereas the Global fixed line internet speed index ranking India ranks at 65, Pakistan is at 117 and Sri Lanka ranks at 77. The list comprises of around 126 countries which include India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
The SpeedTest Global Index has been published in Nov 2018 by SpeedTest app Ookla. You can find the detailed ranking on the website. The ranking clearly suggests a drop in India’s mobile speed ranking and download speed in comparison to other countries.
The average global download speed for mobile broadband internet is around 24.40 Mbps. Compared to this India is getting mobile internet speeds only around 9.93 Mbps. Whereas the real-time broadband global average speed for download is expected to be around 52.56 Mbps but in India, it is getting only 26.46 Mbps.
