The state-run telecom has revised its Rs 241 data STV plan on a promotional basis, the plan will offer subscribers to avail more data benefits than before. In a move to take on the likes of Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel, BSNL has revised the STV Rs 241 plan which will not offer users with 75 GB data of 2G/3G data compared to the earlier 7GB data for the entire validity period. Though the downside of the Rs 241 plan only comes with data facility and has no voice calling or SMS facility. Apart from this, the plan offers a validity of 30 days, unlike other plans which offer 28 days of validity.
Latest BSNL Data STV 241 Plan:
Under the revised option users will get 75GB of data benefits compared to the earlier 7 GB data with the STV 241 plan. This means now users will get almost ten times more data benefits than before. The plan allows users to access data up to 2.5 GB per day for 30 days. TheSTV plan does not allow any voice calling or SMS benefits along with this plan.
The promotional plan will be effective from September 10, 2018, and will expire on December 5, 2018. After the promotional period ends BSNL will decide whether to continue with the plan for another 90 days with its old benefits, depending on the response it gets. Generally, there is a good response to such promotional offers by BSNL.
The STV 241 plan is revised and active in Kerala circle, but it will soon be available in other circle authorities as well in the coming few days.
BSNL Data STV 198 Plan
Apart from the STV 241 plan, BSNL has also introduced another Rs 198 plans which gives 2GB data per day for a period of 28 days. The plan has been revised where earlier it offered 2.5 GB of data per day for 24 days. The per data usage has been dropped to 2GB and the validity period has been extended from 24 days to 28 days. Both the plans are offering a good option for users to choose what suits them the best, certainly putting the customer in control of what he needs to choose.
BSNL STV 27 Plan With 1.5GB Data
The other BSNL STV 27 plan is also revised and will now offer 1.5GB data of 2G/3G for a period of 3 days at a price of Rs 27 only. This plan is available only for Kerala circle and suits users who wish to access data only plan for a limited period.
Forthcoming BSNL 4G Services
BSNL has already received an approval from the DoT to acquire 4G airwaves in the 2100Mhz spectrum. This indicates that in the forthcoming week BSNL will launch its 4G services across India. It has been a long time since BSNL has been trying to acquire the 4G spectrum and finally it has received the approval from the government. Like most of its other plans, we hope to see BSNL introduce a number of 4G plans which will benefit people across India.
