Now you can send messages on WhatsApp without having to type. The latest dictation feature introduced by Whatsapp will allow you to send messages without having to type. The new feature will allow you to dictate messages via mic and send to your contacts.
You no more need to type out your messages Tap the mic icon and talk. Dictate your message and it will show in the message area, then you will need to manually press send in order to send the messages across. The latest dictation is available for both Android and iOS devices.
Google Assistant and Siri already come with the dictation feature. But now this feature will also be available for users of WhatsApp. This will enable them to send messages via dictation from within the app using the new mic icon on the keyboard.
Open your WhatsApp and then the contact you wish to send a message, access the keyboard used for typing the WhatsApp message. You can tap on the mic icon or if you have multiple language setup for WhatsApp Tap on the space bar as shown in the image below.
Tap on the mic and dictate your message which will get typed in the message box, which after completion you can tap to send.
iOS users can tap the mic icon present at the bottom right and start dictating the message. You will need to say the punctuation like a comma(,) or Question mark(?). It manages to put a full stop on its own. After you complete dictating your complete message you will need to press the send button as you do in Android devices.
