Fortnite Battle Royale shooter is fast becoming immensely popular, with cash collections crossing $1Billion in revenue in the month of July. Superdata a popular research firm suggests it is the highest grossing console game last month as well. With records showing over $9.1Billion spent by consumers on digital games across all platforms. There has been a surge of around 23% in console revenue, though there has been a marginal decrease in premium PC and mobile revenue.

The prime reason for the 23% surge in the console gaming segment is all credit to Fortnite Battle Royale, as without it, in fact, this segment would have had a 6% percent decline. We cannot judge a gamer’s mentality but they have a limited budget and tend to divert dollars from title to title. If Fortnite would not have been around they would play some other game instead, spent more money on other games perhaps or bought some other game which if they had not spent money on buying Fortnite.
Fortnite comes with support for Switch, Xbox One, and PS4 and can be played on iOS. Whereas on the other hand PlayerUnknown’s BattleGrounds costs more in terms of money and can be played on PC and Xbox One only. Presently it supports both Android and iOS but looks like it will drop support for Android in the middle of 2018.
Certainly, Fortnite Battle Royale Shooter is a heck of a game worth playing. Leave your comments below.
