Samsung in India will be releasing the latest range of X5 External SSD. SSD- (Solid State Disk) as we all know are being used more an more, as they don’t have any moving parts in them which makes them more resistant to physical shock, run silently and have quicker access time. The newest offering from Samsung comes with speeds up to 40 Gbps and runs on Thunderbolt technology.
With the introduction of the X5 External SSD Samsung is trying to target a particular segment of its market, which consists of artists, content creators, and professionals who require blazing fast transfer speeds. The X5 External SSD is capable of delivering these results with reads speeds up to 2800 MB per second. It is the first non-volatile memory (NVMe) SSD lineup launched by Samsung in India.
The technology involved with the X5 External SSD allows you to edit videos, create real-time 3D rendering images and compiling high-resolution photos. The X5 SSDs are able to deliver you durability and reliability as professionals and deliver maximised performance levels while working with heavy multimedia files. The X5 allows you to transfer a 20GB 4K UHD video from your PC to the X5 in just 12 seconds.
Senior vice president, Sukesh Jain, Samsung India said the X5 External SSD comes with an internal shock resistant frame. The SSD can withstand drops from up to two meters as it also comes with a rough metal housing. There are three variants of the X5 External SSD launched 500GB SSD for Rs 27,999, 1TB SSD for Rs 48,999 and 2TB for 97,999 INR.
