Google Assistant will be rolling out a new feature on Android and iOs which will allow you to check in to your flights. Currently, the feature is available only domestic flights on United Airlines but soon it will be extended on to other airlines as well. You can try out this feature by simply saying “Hey Google, check in to my flight” and you are good to go and head over to step on board your flight.
Though the whole process is not 100% automatic as the Google Assistant will talk you through the check-in process. All in all, it does offer a good user experience. There are chances you would still like to stay with the airline’s app especially if you wish to be in control of the entire process like changing your seats and checking the status of your upgrades.
Google Assistant will now along with the ability to check you into your flights will also be able to book hotels for you. Google has collaborated with Choice Hotels, AccorHotels InterContinental Hotels Group, Priceline, Mirai, and Travelclick. All you need to do is pick a hotel of your choice you want to book and know where you will stay. Certainly, this is going to turn out to be a useful feature in our day to day life.
For those who are not spoilt for choices and prefer to stay in the same hotel on every trip, this might still save them some time on their phones or laptops.
