With the latest development in its design, Gmail app allows you to have a choice of different views. There are three options ie Standard, Very Spacious and Compact views.

The Standard view allows you to view the apps just like the old days. If you go for the very spacious option it will show you more white space between the individual emails, thus giving it a much calmer look. Whereas the compact view will remove all the avatars from senders, turning the Gmail app into some sort of a task list.

After installing the latest update for the Gmail app, you will get to see the various options. This will later disappear. You can still change the display views anytime you require by going to settings.

Before you start to ensure that you have updated to the latest version of Android on your device.

Head over to the Settings menu by tapping the hamburger menu.
Choose General Settings.
Density Call List will allow you to adjust the appearance of your Gmail.
