Xiaomi’s Poco F1 or the Pocophone F1 is popular amongst users for the high value for money it offers with the number of custom ROM available for the smartphone. Earlier unofficial TWRP build was available for the Poco F1, but now you can download the official TWRP website.
You can install TWRP recovery using via USB but you will need to keep your device already rooted. The TWRP app is also available on Google Play Store.
But the App comes with a warning which says – “build of TWRP will (probably) only work with devices using Full Disk Encryption (FDE)” and may not work with devices that have been converted to File-Based Encryption (FBE). It also says that the FBE support may be added at a later date.
The current bootloader unlocks wait time for the Pocophone series is only 3 days, which is less than most of the other smartphone manufacturers, though it is longer than OnePlus and Google. Xiaomi has promised to bring this down soon.
Poco F1 is a remarkable phone which comes with 6.18-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display and is powered by Qualcomm‘s Snapdragon 845 flagship processor along with LiquidCool technology. The smartphone is available in three variants — 6GB/8GB RAM with 64GB/128GB/256 internal storage.
On the camera front, it comes with a 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 primary sensor, coupled with a 5-megapixel secondary sensor on the back panel. The selfie camera is a 20-megapixel camera powered with artificial intelligence.
Poco F1 runs on MIUI based on Android 8.1 Oreo and has started receiving Android Pie Updates. The phone comes with a Quick charge 4.0 fast charging technology and has a 4000mAh battery.
